Why study in Russia?
- Russia has always been in the forefront in the field of education and
more specifically medicine, engineering, aviation, aerospace and other
fields.
- Many countries are represented on the campus and each student makes a
unique contribution to the life of the institution, both academically and
culturally.
- The Russian Universities, traditionally occupy leading position in the
world. Many of the medical Universities find a place in the World Health
Organization (WHO)'s "Directory of World Medical Schools". This listing
make a student graduating from such University eligible to appear for many
of the screening tests like the USMLE, PLAB and also the newly introduced
"Screening examination" conducted by the National Board Of Examinations,
India, under the directive of the Medical Council of India.
- Many of the Universities have been established way back in 1755, like
the I.M. Sechenove Moscow Medical Academy, which is worldwide known and
highly ranked.
- Many of the courses are now offered with the medium of instruction in
English. Evaluation of the performance of the student is designed in such
a way that the progress of the student, in mastering the subjects included
in the curriculum is monitored objectively and in detail. Performance of
the students in the tests is evaluated as "PASSED" or "FAILED" and in
examinations as "EXCELLENT", "GOOD", "SATISFACTORY" or "FAIL". The final
state examination is also a very important part of the higher educational
assessment process in Russia. These methods constitute comprehensive
evaluation systems by which the knowledge and the skills of the specialist
are brought to light and the qualifications thus obtained then become very
authentic and valuable.
- 1st, September of every year is the first day of the beginning of the
academic year in Russia. There are 2 semesters in Russia; September to
January and February to June.
- Knowledge and the practical skills received by the students along with
the international exposure in these higher educational institutes permit
them to seek various opportunities in India and abroad.
- Russia, thus invites all potential students to join the prestigious
higher educational institutes to secure their future.
-
NO capitation fees or donations are to be paid to the
universities in Russia. The cost of education in the universities in
Russia is highly regulated and subsidized by the Ministry of Public Health
of the Russian Federation. They are very reasonable in contrast to the
other universities in India and abroad.
-
It may also be observed and noted that unlike in other
universities in India and abroad, students need not appear for any
entrance or prequalifying exams like CET (India), GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, SAT,
etc.
